Our mission as a Recruiting team is to find, attract and secure the right people for Thumbtack, while always providing exceptional candidate experience.

About the Role

As an Associate Recruiter, you’ll be our talent acquisition expert who handles womb-to-tomb recruiting who knows the Philippines talent market inside and out and can find exceptional candidates for roles as diverse as customer support specialists to experienced subject matter experts and leaders. You’ll bring a creative and thoughtful approach to finding, attracting, engaging and ultimately onboarding the right people at the right time.

Responsibilities

  • Overall project management and service delivery
    • Meet and exceed hiring targets (headcount and timeline) by effectively managing the hiring process from start to finish and all the stakeholders involved in hiring.
    • Manage the hiring process effectively and efficiently from the initial intake of job requirements through to presenting job offers, and facilitating the pre-ONB process in partnership with People Operations.
    • Deliver positive candidate and hiring team experience by providing timely and consistent hiring progress updates and feedback to both the hiring team and the candidates.
    • Conducting data-driven analysis to solve hiring-related bottlenecks and issues as they arise.
    • Proactively contribute to improving the way we’re recruiting at Thumbtack by challenging the status quo and providing useful suggestions for improvement.
  • Talent attraction, engagement and assessment
    • Develop a strong talent pipeline, either in partnership with the Sourcer and/or through directly sourcing for candidates through job portals, networking, researching, and other non-traditional search tools and methods.
    • Endeavor to provide stellar recruitment experience for the candidates and be a strong brand ambassador.
    • Help build interest around hiring needs both from internal as well as external audiences by partnering with the Sourcer in creating various recruitment marketing content/collaterals and publishing them in various communication channels (Gmail, Slack, Facebook, LinkedIn, Jobstreet, etc.)
  • Candidate screening
    • Screen or interview potential candidates to help determine job skills, culture- and team-fit.
    • Assist the hiring team in coming up with an objective hiring decision through the different assessment methods we’ve put in place as part of our standard hiring process.
  • Reporting & administrative tasks
    • Update hiring plans, job descriptions, trackers/ATS and other docs related to recruiting.
    • Maintain accurate reports capturing the recruitment cycle, as well as other administrative tasks required by the recruitment process such as but not limited to scheduling, pre-onboarding, etc.

To Be Successful, You Must Bring

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in recruitment/talent acquisition, with a strong understanding of tech, shared/services, outsourcing or similar industries.
  • Advanced sourcing skills, using both traditional and non-traditional methods, including internal employees for referrals, boolean sourcing, talent mapping and headhunting, vendor and other external partnerships, and effective networking skills.
  • Highly knowledgeable in leveraging sourcing and social media platforms, including Jobstreet, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Facebook, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Impeccable English communication skills.

Bonus points if you have

  • Advanced user skills in tracking and recruitment management tools, including:
    • Applicant tracking system (preferably Greenhouse)
    • Google Apps, scheduling and reporting tools
  • Experience with recruitment marketing - highly creative, with a strong understanding of key marketing concepts and ability to apply them in recruiting/talent acquisition
