Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Bartender is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages while delivering exceptional hospitality in a sophisticated and fast-paced environment. This role requires expert knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, and spirits, along with a polished, engaging presence behind the bar. Bartenders are brand ambassadors who provide a memorable guest experience while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and consistency.
- Provide warm, professional, and attentive service to all guests seated at the bar and throughout the dining room when applicable.
- Engage with guests to offer drink recommendations, describe flavor profiles, and suggest pairings with food.
- Engage with guests to build bar business by fostering genuine connections, maintaining relationships with regulars, and creating an inviting and positive bar ambiance
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently; balance cash drawer as needed.
- Monitor alcohol consumption of guests and follow all TABC regulations for responsible service.
- Stock and replenish bar inventory including spirits, wine, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Maintain product knowledge of wines, beers, and spirits, including origin, tasting notes, and pairings.
- Assist with bar setup and breakdown, including deep cleaning, restocking, and organizing supplies.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
- Attend mandatory meetings and complete company-assigned training.
- Maintain uniform standards and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Adhere to a reliable work schedule and perform duties safely.
- Perform other tasks, including cross-training in different areas, as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
- Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and premium spirits.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
- Flexible schedule helpful.
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required.
- Valid State Alcohol Server Certificate (TABC) required.
