Job Overview

As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in setting the tone for a refined and memorable dining experience. This role requires exceptional hospitality, polished communication skills, and the ability to manage reservations and guest flow with grace and efficiency. The ideal candidate exudes warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness in every interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Manage reservations using SevenRooms and maintain accurate waitlists.
  • Coordinate and control the flow of guests through the dining room to ensure a seamless seating process.
  • Communicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to optimize table turns and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate wait time estimates and ensure guests are comfortable while waiting.
  • Answer the phone promptly and professionally, assisting with inquiries and reservation requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, restrooms, and front-of-house areas.
  • Uphold company standards for hospitality and guest service at all times.
  • Assist with special guest requests, private dining inquiries, and large party accommodations.
  • Be knowledgeable about the menu, specials, and restaurant events to answer guest questions confidently.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and complete company-assigned training.
  • Maintain uniform standards and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
  • Adhere to a reliable work schedule and perform duties safely.
  • Perform other tasks, including cross-training in different areas, as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Flexible schedule helpful.
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate required.
  • Valid State Alcohol Server Certificate required.
