Facilities Technician
Facility Technicians will perform a wide range of general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance & Repair:
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of facilities of select restaurant locations in regards to front of house, back of house, dining rooms, bathrooms, and basement areas
  • Maintenance and repair activities will include, but are not limited to, light painting, light plumbing, light electrical, drywalling, caulking, tiling work, ceiling work, grout work, power washing, moving company assets within location or from one location to another, and general preventative maintenance.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, tile cutters, ladders or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Performing routine facilities inspections to evaluate workplace environments, equipment,or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Record and report daily all completed repairs and items that require further attention.
  • Assist in special projects, including but not limited to remodeling and new store build outs.

Teamwork & Communication
  • Responsible for assisting and trainingrestaurant management staff on all procedures in regard to repairs and maintenance procedures
  • Work as a team member to support other employees in their duties
  • Communicate challenges and successes
  • Be respectful of all guests, employees, vendors, and supervisors

Other Responsibilities
  • Must be able to commute between all locations in assigned region
  • Availability to work weekends and C shifts as needed.times
  • Attend mandatory meetings including staff meetings, leadership meetings, etc.
  • Perform assigned duties to Company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Reasonable accommodation will be considered and implemented in accordance with ADA requirements.
  • At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a driver's license, a clean driving record, and a working, reliable vehicle
  • Training in refrigeration, hot cookware equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred
  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for the duration of your shift (up to 10 hours with scheduled breaks)
  • Function in a fast-paced and noisy kitchen environment
  • Tolerance to temperature fluctuations
  • Work with hazardous substances such as hot oil
  • Read, write, speak, and understand basic English
  • Communicate clearly
  • Use a basic computer system (ex. cash register)
  • Finger dexterity
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
  • Maintain general knowledge of FGNY: locations, transportation, management team, etc.
  • Adhere to Company's policies and procedures, as well as City, State, and Federal laws and mandates
