The Lead Bartender is responsible for overseeing bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of beverage quality and service. This role combines hands-on bartending with leadership responsibilities, including training, inventory control, and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages according to the recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor laws.
- Supervise and support bartenders and barbacks during shifts.
- Train new bar staff on recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Provide outstanding hospitality and engage with guests at the bar.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador by engaging guests with information about Carmine’s and Virgil’s locations, and encouraging return visits for special events and catering opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Experience in curating and developing drink menus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Who are fluent in English
