Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Engage with customers to provide an exceptional dining experience, including taking orders and offering recommendations.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service for banquets and catering events.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Stay updated on current beverage trends, menu items, and promotions to enhance sales opportunities.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in bartending or restaurant roles.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to alcohol service.
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and sales tracking.
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and cocktail preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with retail math concepts as they pertain to inventory management and sales reporting.
- Previous experience in nightclub settings or banquet service is a plus.
