Job description
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for maintaining the general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, painting work and landscaping. Complete maintenance work in a timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and ensure grounds are well maintained. Communicate effectively, lead by example and maintain a positive work environment.
ADMINISTRATION:
- Supervise maintenance operations for all restaurants, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, A\C and heating units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, roof exhausts and landscaping and other maintenance-related functions.
- Recruit, retain, develop and supervise team members to achieve a positive and productive department.
- Assign and ensure all projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities.
- Instruct and assist team members in organizing duties, ordering material, and completing assignments by required deadlines.
- Meet with architects to discuss blueprints, contact contractors to submit bids for new construction, and meet with construction supervisors to discuss different phases of work.
- Work closely with Chief Operating Officer and Executive team on all store Openings.
- Order equipment and maintain proper inventory for new and existing stores.
- Adhere to timeline in preparation for new store openings.
- Maintain positive relationships with external guests and third-party vendors.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing effective maintenance program.
- Participate in preparation of annual budget.
- Address and resolve issues with team members in a positive and timely manner.

- Report to Supervisor at the beginning of shift to review daily duties and any special requests.
- Supervise and assist with trash removal from entry and perimeter of building to ensure neat/clean curb appeal.
- Repair/graffiti/destruction issues immediately.
- Promptly respond and resolve maintenance requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Possess excellent written and verbal command of the English language to effectively communicate with customers, team members and vendors.
- Must be able to understand/speak Spanish.
- Experience with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Management and Executive Leadership team.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Attend all meetings as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting, pulling, pushing - minimum: 20 pounds.
- Pushing, bending, squatting, standing, sitting, reaching, climbing, walking.
- Vision - Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception.
- Sense of Sound - Hear and Process Requests

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have full knowledge of all floor plans.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable laws including Federal, State, OSHA laws.
- Must possess good mathematical skills.
- College or vocational diploma in related field required.
- Certificates/Licenses: HVAC; Electrical; Plumbing required.
- Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Motivate and inspire team to produce positive results.
- Proven track record as a "hands-on" leader and role model.
- Be able to function successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR/1st Aid certification required.
